What are you clever about and how do you use that to build your practice as a million dollar expert?
Here is video #2 of Sean describing how to do that.
(transcript) Hi, I’m Dr. Sean Richardson and I’m going to be talking to you on April 20th, the Vancouver Coaches and Consultants, about the fundamentals of building a thought leadership practice. How do you get a million dollar or more revenue stream through the best ideas in your head.
Whether you are a speaker, trainer, coach, author, facilitator or mentor, how do you do that? First off, what is a thought leader? A thought leader is someone who has established themselves as an authority in their field. My field, the psychology of excellence, now I did Ph.D on this, I tried to go to the Olympic games and did a lot of studying and research into what makes people excellent and what up here (tapping his head) makes them tick. But how do you deliver that into the multiple markets. And that is what thought leadership is all about, what do you know…and you don’t have to be a Ph.D in something to know something, you know what you know. What are you clever about?
Essentially, in a practice model you want to take those best ideas, capture them, have some methods for distilling them into great messages and then capturing them through a methodology that helps you deliver this elegant simplicity and finally look at multiple way to market, sell, and deliver through multiple modes. We call it the diversification model of business.
Thought leadership is about doing all three of those, about the capture, package and delivery of your messages. So I look forward to seeing you on April 20th to talk about the fundamentals of thought leadership and how you can bring it into your life. See you then.
