Positioning is one of the most powerful concepts ever to come into the marketing world. The one book on positioning which I consider a ‘must-read’ is Positioning by Al Ries and Jack Trout (2000).
This is where your clients perceive you as being the top, best choice to solve their problem and you can thus charge whatever you want for your service.
Internet Marketing coach Glenn Dietzel elaborates with Milgram’s law, where the market place will blindly believe the words of an expert and Zipf’s law, the market place will choose the person or company perceived to be on top—over and over again.
It does take some study to understand how to use positioning. It has become a huge component, not only of my marketing coaching, but also in my dating life with superior results.
Where are you positioned with your ideal customer?
